Magnetic Paddles Mod for Thrustmaster F1 Wheel AddOn: Conversion Kit

The Paddles with magnetic mechanism replace the original ones, offering a better feeling and the possibility to insert the gears faster.

An essential Mod for Thrustmaster F1 Wheel Addon, for example the Ferrari model, that makes the driving experience more engaging and gives you a better control.
New version (V2) is stronger, and has an adjustable screw for microswitch pressure. Microswitches are in a Heavy Duty version (N.B.: The color of the microswitches may vary. This does not affect the mechanical characteristics of the product).

The kit includes 2 Paddles. Screws included.

Shape and Materials

You can choose between two shapes and two materials.

The Thrustmaster F1 Addon Mod can be made of:

ABS
Carbon Fiber Plates

The Designs to choose from for the Thrustmaster F1 Addon are:

Type A, with a more vertical shape
Type B, with a more horizontal shape

Microswitches included and already soldered.

Warnings and mounting advices

The adjustment screw must be screwed so that it only presses on the metal lever of the microswitch, and does not hit the microswitch, otherwise it will break easily.
To be sure not to damage the structure or the internal parts, we advise you to mount and tighten the screws by hand.

I Paddles con meccanismo magnetico si sostituiscono ai paddles originali, offrendo un feeling migliore e la possibilità di inserire le marce più velocemente.

Una Mod aggiuntiva essenziale per Thrustmaster F1 Wheel Addon, come ad esempio il modello Ferrari, che rende l’esperienza di guida più coinvolgente e ti offre un controllo migliore.
La nostra nuova versione (V2) è più robusta, e ha una vite regolabile per la pressione del microswitch. I microswitch sono in versione Heavy Duty: più resistente (N.B.: Il colore dei microswitch può variare. Ciò non influisce sulle caratteristiche meccaniche del prodotto).

Forma e materiali

Il kit include 2 Paddles. Viti incluse.

Avvisi e consigli di montaggio

La vite di registro va avvitata in modo che vada a premere soltanto sulla levetta metallica del microswitch, e non urti il microswitch, altrimenti questo si romperà facilmente.
Per non danneggiare la struttura o le parti interne vi consigliamo di montare le parti e avvitarle a mano.

Perfect. Sharpness has increased a lot, and there s a feeling of a higher resilience than the original paddles. I ve personally put the pieces into the wheel (just 4 simple soldering points) watching the video on the website. Definitely satisfied with the purchase

Just installed these babys !! They are amazing, a much better feel as well as a significant increase in shift-rate.(prob 25%) also they make 75% less noise. I have a second wheel as i was having a hard time finding replacement micro-switches, so i bought another. I will be giving that wheel the upgrade as well. Totally worth a very small/easy amount of effort.

This is an exceptional mod. For me, if you have this wheel, it is a very important improvement that generates more immersion. The quality of the pieces is incredible and the assembly is very simple and clear.
The shipment has been fast.

Just stuck these beauties on my wheel that had been out of action for a few months due to Thrustmasters rubbish micro-switches and WOW. These things bring the wheel to life and add so much more fidelity when driving. Also not the best at soldering/fiddly things but even I managed to solder the few wires on with the video as help. Hoping and praying these switches last longer! Thanks guys for this genius creation and for being so kind!

Just fitted these and the difference is outstanding. Very positive feedback, more like a proper wheel. Easy to fit. I am a total novice with this sort of thing, in fact this was my first time soldering anything! Followed video, and no problems apart from not screwing the screw on the back of the shifter in far enough at first. Once I did this it worked perfectly, so just something to watch out for. While I had it open I carbon fibered the wheel with vinyl and, although not perfect, looks pretty good. Also changed the momentary buttons. With the carbon fibre paddles the whole wheel is transformed.

Really great addition for a, in my opinion, fair price. Shipping was really quick (UPS Express). Also i missed the screw on the back so the paddles touch the (in my case) heavy duty switches. After first buying some new srewdriver as i didnt had this one i could modify the screw and it works like a charm.

Can really recommend the magnetic paddle shifters as a cool nice addon to the F1 wheel. Especially if your default paddles are “worn out” like mine were.

The best mod for the Thrustmaster F1 wheel!! I was missing shifts on the original paddles and getting frustrated with the feeling when shifting gears. With this new paddles the feeling is better by 100%, it’s very sturdy, I can change gears faster and more precise. It seems like a pro wheel right now and having a lot of fun. Now I can concentrate on the race instead of being afraid to miss shifts. Highly recomended!!

After using my steering wheel with this modification quite long time, I decided to write some review. I ordered this mod few months ago and some part was missing. I received it immediately and the seller was really helpfull – Thank You -. Magnet paddles are really better than springs. The gear change is now really solid.

Nach ein paar Monaten habe ich entschieden eine Rezension zu schreiben. Ich habe die Mod bestellt und waehrend des Einbaus habe ich bemerkt, dass ein Teil fehlt. Ich habe die richtig schnell wieder bekommen und deswegen konnte ich den Einbau fertig machen. Die Paddles machen richtig gutes Gefuehl und sind viel viel besser als Federn.

Po paru miesiącach użytkowania postanowiłem napisać recenzję. Podczas przeróbki kierownicy zauważyłem, że nie ma jednej części. Po kontakcie ze sprzedawcą otrzymałem ją bez problemu oraz bardzo szybko. Magnetyczne łopatki są dużo lepsze niż sprężyny, a zmiana biegów jest stała się znacznie bardziej solidna.

My Ferrari F1 wheel rim had very sloppy gear shift paddles.
This magnetic paddle set from 3DRap is excellent. It was easy to fit, and it completely transforms the gear shifts into definite consistent clicks, making the F1 wheel feel much higher quality and making every gear shift completely reliable.
I really like my F1 wheel rim, even if it is a bit ‘plasticky’, but this shifter mod definitely improves it’s quality massively.
It’s a great mod at a great price.
