Sim racing is a thrilling form of virtual driving competition that involves using sophisticated driving simulators to challenge other drivers on realistic virtual tracks. This discipline closely resembles real-life motorsports, with races lasting several hours and drivers having to employ race strategies, make pit stops, and select the appropriate tires for the conditions.
Sim racing online
Sim racing is a rapidly growing phenomenon that has gained immense popularity in recent years. It provides an authentic racing experience, allowing drivers to simulate a wide range of cars and circuits with a high degree of accuracy. Simulators are equipped with advanced technology, including realistic physics engines and force feedback, to create an immersive and challenging experience.
Sim racing events are held worldwide, with participants competing against each other in virtual environments. These events can be highly competitive, with drivers vying for prize money and recognition. The sport has also spawned its own professional leagues and championships, further demonstrating its legitimacy as a competitive discipline.
Sim racing is a fantastic way for enthusiasts to experience the thrills of motorsports without the high costs and risks associated with real-life racing. It offers an exciting and challenging alternative, allowing drivers to test their skills against others from around the world. As the technology and popularity of sim racing continue to grow, it is clear that this discipline will remain a significant part of the racing world for years to come.
Advantages of sim racing
Sim racing is a versatile activity that can be enjoyed at both amateur and professional levels, and has gained significant visibility through online platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. As a result of its growing popularity, sim racing now offers drivers the chance to compete in international competitions, with the potential for substantial cash prizes and sponsorships.
One of the most significant advantages of sim racing is its accessibility. Since it does not require physical presence on a real track, the activity can be practiced from the comfort of one’s home. This allows drivers to participate safely and affordably, without the high costs or other risks associated with traditional motorsports.
In conclusion, sim racing is an increasingly popular form of virtual driving competition enjoyed by motoring enthusiasts worldwide. With the opportunity to participate in international competitions and practice from home, sim racing provides an engaging and accessible driving experience for drivers of all levels.
Simulation platforms
The simulators are installed on PCs, specially built to support the characteristics of the simulation platforms. The major simulators on the market are: Assetto Corsa Competizione, which only includes GT cars, but is undoubtedly the best in terms of graphics. Iracing, probably the best simulator currently on the market for simulated reality. Last, but not least, the older rFactor2, which despite its age continues to be one of the best platforms on the market.
Who runs in Sim racing? Mainly the enthusiast, of all ages but mainly young people, who for economic reasons cannot enter the world of real racing. But also professional pilots, who take advantage of the faithful reproductions of the platforms to train when they have to stay away from private tracks.
The sim racing teams
Being the virtual version of real racing, real Sim racing teams have been created. Among the major teams in the virtual panorama we find the Jean Alesi eSport Academy, founded by the former Formula 1 driver, with the support of the Sky commentator, Matteo Bobbi. Even the real F1 teams had to catch up with the times. Ferrari has adapted to the world of virtual racing, creating their own official team, called the FDA Hublot Esports Team. We are among these with our 3DRap SquadraCorse drivers.
How to join the Team of our pilots
In fact, the 3DRap SquadraCorse team represents the virtual racing department of 3DRap s.r.l.
The team aims to grow professionally by participating in all the mainstream events, officially organized by iRacing and/or by the main players on the market (VRS, Apex, Special Events, etc.) and why not, the world championship!
Equipped with exceptional Team Managers who follow the riders day after day, train with them, evaluate and authorize the team’s admission to races and championships, manage all the necessary bureaucracy and keep the spirit of the riders high and united.
During the competitions I support the pilots in the race for the management of the same, performing wall and strategy functions, but also to help them in reviewing the replays or submitting any protests, they are available to each pilot to supervise and increase the knowledge of each of them and mediate for any misunderstanding and/or problem that may occur.
Correctness always, from practice to post-race, fair play and desire to have fun are part of the DNA of the 3DRap SquadraCorse Team, but also competitiveness and ambition.
This and much more is the 3DRap SquadraCorse, not only a group of enthusiasts but also a family. If you are interested in joining our team, contact us and we will evaluate your proposal.
