Franciacorta, Italy – June 30, 2024 – 3DRap, a leading provider of accessories, peripherals, and upgrades for the Sim Racing industry, took center stage at the grand opening event of the new D2D Simulation Center, held at the renowned Franciacorta racetrack on June 29th. The event marked a perfect fusion of virtual racing passion, cutting-edge technology, and tangible success, further solidifying the collaboration between two leading players in the Italian and global Sim Racing landscape.
An Event Immersed in the Atmosphere of Real Motorsport
The D2D Simulation Center’s opening event drew a crowd of teams, team managers, and operators of other simulation centers from across Italy, as well as local entrepreneurs like Cristiano Cicolari and the team at AK Informatica. The event coincided with the WSK Euro Series European karting championship at the Franciacorta circuit, providing a unique opportunity to fully immerse oneself in the atmosphere of real motorsport, amidst the roar of engines, the adrenaline of the races, and the passion of the drivers. The air was electric with the contagious enthusiasm typical of motorsport competitions, creating a perfect blend between the virtual world of Sim Racing and the adrenaline-fueled reality of on-track racing.
National Champions and Teams Compete in the 3DRap Challenge Trophy
The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the 3DRap Challenge Trophy, an exciting virtual challenge held on D2D’s driving simulators, featuring some of the most talented drivers in the Italian Sim Racing scene. Among the participating teams were such notable names as Coretech, Nuclear Project, Deko, Racing ON3, DMS, Italian Job, and many others. Representatives of LICS, the Italian Sim Racing Center League, were also present to plan new championships and keep this e-sport alive.
Exclusive 3DRap Branded Prizes
The winner of the 3DRap Challenge Trophy was the young and promising Luca Losio of the Italian Job team, who took home the top prize: a 3DRap Feeling Upgrade for his driving simulator. Second and third place were awarded to Paolo Riva of Team DMS and Giuseppe Mazzei, owner of the Racing ON3 simulation center, which has already equipped its simulators with products from 3DRap’s PRO range. But the prizes didn’t stop there: the top four finishers also received €50 vouchers to use on the 3DRap online shop, while all participants received official 3DRap branded merchandise, including t-shirts, sim racing socks, and bags.
