The first ones in particular are equipped with characteristic cooling ducts located in correspondence with the cockpit. They have the purpose of ventilating the passenger compartment, preserving driving comfort during the endurance session.

WIND Simulator

3DRap offers the opportunity to simulate the effect of the wind for open wheel cars, spider cars and cars with cooling vents LMP1 and GT style in endurance configuration. We have selected high-performance fans to ensure deep immersion:

• Power: 120x38mm fans were chosen to have a good amount of power available;
• Flow: the conveyor was designed through fluid dynamics analysis to maximize the flow rate, the flow speed and the efficiency of the fan, ensuring optimal performance levels for the simulation. A high-quality 3D printing technology was used to maximize the surface finish of the conveyor elements by reducing air resistance.
• Modulation: PWM-controlled fans were chosen, designed specifically for the project specifications; unlike the most common DC continuous power fans, PWM-controlled fans guarantee perfect modulation of the air flow with respect to the speed of the car.
• Installation flexibility: thanks to the double provision for M6 and M8 nuts and the two degrees of freedom of adjustment, it is possible to satisfy every installation requirement.

3DRap offre l’opportunità di simulare l’effetto del vento per le open wheel cars, vetture spider e vetture con bocchette di raffreddamento stile LMP1 e GT in configurazione endurance. Abbiamo selezionato ventole ad alte prestazioni per garantire una profonda immersività:

• Potenza: sono state scelte ventole da 120x38mm per avere una buona dose di potenza a disposizione;
• Flusso: il convogliatore è stato progettato attraverso analisi fluidodinamiche per massimizzare la portata, la velocità di efflusso e l’efficienza della ventola, garantendo livelli di performance ottimali per la simulazione. È stata impiegata una tecnologia di stampa 3D ad alta qualità per massimizzare la finitura superficiale degli elementi del convogliatore riducendo la resistenza dell’aria.
• Modulazione: sono state scelte ventole con controllo in PWM progettate ad hoc sulle specifiche di progetto; a differenza delle più diffuse ventole ad alimentazione continua DC, le ventole controllate in PWM garantiscono una perfetta modulazione del flusso d’aria rispetto alla velocità di avanzamento della vettura.
• Flessibilità di installazione: grazie alla doppia predisposizione per dadi M6 e M8 ed i due gradi di libertà di regolazione è possibile soddisfare ogni requisito di installazione.
